What
is your boarding facility like?
-
What boarding accommodations do you offer?
-
The
boarding area for dogs includes spacious indoor/outdoor
runs with access to air-conditioning or heat. The entire "outdoor"
area is covered by our large roof to protect from the weather.
The boarding area for small dogs & cats is located indoors
in a quieter portion of the facility where a little more
attention and care is given. Soft, comfortable "Mutt
Mat" beds are available for all pets.
-
Will my dog be "couped-up" in a small cage the whole
time?
-
ABSOLUTELY
NOT! Our boarding area offers large spacious runs. All runs
are 4 feet wide and either 11 or 16 feet long! This allows
for "room to stretch." However, if you wish, additional
exercise and supervised play may be provided for a small daily
charge. In addition, our obedience trainer can do daily training
sessions or "tune-ups" while you are away to help
prevent boredom. What a great time and opportunity to brush
up on manners!
-
What are your hours?
-
Where are you located?
-
Is there a Veterinarian on staff?
-
Yes.
As a matter of fact, we are owned and operated by a Veterinarian.
Dr. Harry E. Moore has owned the facility since 2001 and provides
loving care and service to all of our patients and boarders
alike. Along with the rest of our loving staff, we try to
make each pets visit as comfortable as possible. In the event
of an emergency, medical care is immediately available; or
your own Veterinarian may be contacted if you wish.
-
If I already have a Veterinarian, can I see you too?
-
What vaccinations are required for boarding?
-
Dogs
are required to be current, within one year, on Rabies, and
DHPPV (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza, and Parvo Virus).
We also require your pet be current within 6 months on Bordetella.
Bordetella is the vaccination for "Kennel Cough"
or "Canine Cough." It is an air-borne bacteria that
can be a problem in areas where dogs are housed together.
Vaccination of your dog with this important vaccine, prior
to boarding, helps eliminate or reduce the signs of this irritating
disease syndrome.
-
Cats
are required to be current, within one year, on Rabies and
FVRCP (Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calcivirus, and Panleukopenia).
We also require our feline guests be current (within 6 months)
on their bordetella vaccine.
-
Ask
your veterinarian or call us if you have any questions regarding
the status of your pet's vaccinations.
-
Should I bring my pet's food while boarding?
-
If
your pet is on a special diet, or has a difficult time changing
diets, then you may bring their own. Otherwise, we will provide
your pet with a high quality maintenance dog food. After years
of kennel trials, we
have selected Hill’s Sensitive Stomach for our boarders.
We have found this food to be highly palatable and has the
fewest GI tolerance problems. For high energy dogs, we feed
Hill’s Science Diet Active Adult formula. Please ask
us for more information or samples of this product or visit
their web site by clicking on the Hill’s logo on our
“Sites of Interest Pag.
